Directions:

1. Raise $50.00 to purchase a Standard Rate Box from a local U.S. Post office (this seems to be the most economical way to ship the books because it allows up to 20lbs to be shipped for just $50.00).

You don't actually pay for the shipping at the time you pick up the box, but you must use the "Large Flat Rate" box from the U.S. Post Office for the $50.00 shipping cost.

2. Once the $50.00 has been raised you can purchase the box at any local U.S. Post office
(in order to receive the discounted shipping cost of $50.00, the box must be purchased at a U.S. Post office).
3. Take box back to classroom and let students work on collecting books to fill the box.
Books can range from early childhood level and up.
4. Ship books to:

Complete the Customs Form

Ryan Dashner, PCV
P.O. Box 908
Mariental, Namibia
Africa, 9000

(At this time it would also be good to email me to let me know that the books have been shipped so that I can be watching the mail)

5. Shipments take between 2 and 5 weeks (sometimes longer) to reach Namibia. Once books have been received I will take them immediately to the library and assist with getting them on the shelves.
6. Your class will receive an email with a thank you letter and a picture of the books being read by local children.
7. At any time during this process, teachers are encouraged to have their class write and ask questions regarding Namibia, or the Peace Corps.
